Interview questions
BJ: Firstly. I’ll just show you how much you improved. So in the first one you said you were
guessing. There’s a definite improvement
as you’ve gone from 0 to 42%. Just answer
these honestly.
Twice.
Yes. I had no idea about half of
it.
Some of them were a bit quick. I
wasn’t expecting it the way it went. The
layout of some it, like how the notes were done as a table was really helpful. This broke it up a bit and you could see the
link between all the notes. Keeping them
separate made it easier for me by not jumping all over the place.
BJ: If they had
all been one after another…
I would have got lost completely so having that one just focusing on the
beat and the tempo was good.
BJ: And the
fact that you were watching them at you own leisure so you could watch it again
without having to feel like you were putting your hand up in class.
Yes, definitely.
Yes, I think they would. They
have a lot more knowledge than me anyway as I’ve come in completely blind to
it. They’re learning music as it’s going
so I think they’d have a bit more understanding as to some of the words where
as I was like, completely from scratch.
BJ: Although
they are from scratch when they first come in.
Yes, from Prep level.
Usher. I only started attending
concerts a couple of years ago.
BJ: So that
would have been about two years ago?
Yes, two or three.
BJ: So you’ve
been to pubs to see bands or anything?
I’ve been to pubs but not a concert.
My ex-boyfriend was in a band so I used to go and watch that but I
wasn’t into the music or anything because it was alternative.
I like a bit of a mixture, bits of everything.
BJ: I don’t
have a favourite album either.
I like Usher and Lindsey Lohan.
BJ: Lindsey
Lohan? Does she have an album?
Yes she has two.
BJ: Really?
Yes. I’m just trying to think what else I’ve been listening to. Then you’ve got good old Britney (Spears) and
Mariah (Carey). I like stuff I can sing
to.
To help?
BJ: Yes. Like for instance, it was supposed to be on
DVD originally but I had technical trouble getting it to play at the right
speed so maybe it would have been more comfortable watching it on your TV
rather than on computer.
I don’t think that would matter too much. The kids would get used to both mediums so I
don’t think that would effect them too much.
BJ: Thanks
heaps for that.
That’s alright.
BJ: I
appreciate it.
No worries.
