At the confirmation seminar last month I learnt that one of my supervisors is taking up a new position at another University. As my other supervisor is retiring, I will have two new supervisors soon but at the moment I have neither.

I have attempted some revisions to my research question. I submitted an updated question which is:

“Can a better understanding of conceptual consolidation provide a rationale for streamlining the curriculum?”

The proposal sent to the panel was not well received. I was choosing to focus on conceptual consolidation using animation as a tool for data generation. By "streamlining the curriculum" I was referring to increasing the depth and reducing the breadth of the curriculum by focusing on conceptual topics. One of the panel members gave some useful advice about a possible research question which is not too far removed from my original question last month.
